The CMS/CHS cafeteria is now offering a salad bar for students. Instead of having pre-packaged salads, there is now a self-serve salad bar. Students ask for the meat of their choice, turkey, ham, or chicken. They go to the bar and make it their way! This effort "reduces food waste and allows the kids to make their salads the way they want," says Margaret Dawson, CuCPS Nutrition Coordinator. The program started this week, and Mrs. Dawson is hoping to expand the number of options soon!
