If you are a member of Cumberland High School Winter Guard, Winter Guard practice is tomorrow Saturday March 5th from 10am to 5pm. Winter Guard Practice will be every Saturday until further notice.

Hardcopies of classwork for Jan 18-21 were provided on Jan 14. (just in case the snow was so heavy that we wouldn’t be able to come to school this week...and considering possible power outages)

Tonight’s Boys Basketball game against Buckingham has been canceled
Due to Covid concerns regarding a member of the Central Lunenburg basketball team, there will be no boys basketball games tonight at Cumberland High School. If and when the Boys JV and Varsity games against Lunenberg are rescheduled. Administration will let you know.

Any CHS students who have received an invitation, from your teachers or through the mail, to participate in our after school remediation/tutoring program (Sept.20 through Dec. 16) should returned their signed paperwork ASAP!

Good Evening. On July 21, CHS will be hosting Freshman Orientation at 5pm and Sophomore Orientation at 6:30 PM. On July 22, CHS will host Junior Orientation at 5 PM and Senior Orientation at 6 PM. CHS Open House will take place on August 5 from 1 PM to 7PM.
CHS students are invited to join a free virtual college fair for the United States this summer! This fair is scheduled for June 21st-26th, students can register now! The students can log in any time during this week and get information from many colleges. There is a question and answer section for the students to get answers directly from college reps during the week. The students must go to www.collegefairsonline.com to the students tab to register ASAP. This service is completely free. Every student that registers is entered to win a $300 scholarship.
Parents: If your student received a failing grade in English, Science, Math or History you received a registration letter for Summer School which starts June 7th. If you haven’t yet enrolled your child in summer school, but would like to, please call CHS tomorrow at 804 492 4212
Class of 2021, Your senior class T-Shirts are finally here and they look awesome!! Please come to CHS between 8 am and 4pm tomorrow May 28th to pick them up. They are free! Mr. Williams loves you and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it!
If you are a member of the class of 2021 who has not turned in your school laptop yet, please return your laptop to Cumberland High School as soon as possible. We are open today until 4pm and the school will be open from 8am -4pm Monday through Friday of next week!
Tomorrow, the Class of 2021 will be participating in graduation exercises.
Exercises will be video-streamed at the link below for both the 10 am and 2 pm ceremonies.

Both livestreams will begin approximately 5 minutes prior to the start of the of the exercises. “A Week" graduation will begin at 10:00 am and "B Week" graduation will begin at 2:00 pm.
GRADUATION FOR THE CLASS OF 2021 is TOMORROW May 14th. A-Week Graduating Seniors must arrive at CHS no later than 9:30 AM in order to be in the lineup for their 10 AM ceremony!
B-Week Graduating Seniors must arrive at CHS no later than 1:30 PM in order to be in the lineup for their 2 PM ceremony!
All seniors need to bring their caps and gowns. All seniors need to bring in their laptops to turn into Mr. Dingledein!
Male graduates should wear collared shirts with slacks or dress pants and dress shoes. Female graduates should wear dress pants or dresses with dress shoes.
Temperatures will be taken at the door and masks must be worn. There will also be socially distanced seating. Seniors will enter through the academic wing doors and their guests will enter through the CHS bus loop doors. Tickets are required for admission.
