It is a pleasure to welcome everyone back for another promising semester. It was delightful to see the enthusiastic faces of our students this morning. I would like to share a few important announcements:
1. Please note that report cards will not be distributed today as originally planned. We will issue a formal announcement next week regarding their distribution.
2. There will be no afterschool activities taking place today.
3. Kindly remind students that cellphones must remain turned off and stored away during school hours.

All-District Band is an excellent opportunity for talented instrumental music students from various schools in our district to come together. We are so proud of everyone who participated in the audition process—this year's competition was incredibly strong! A special shout-out goes to the seven talented Dukes who made the cut! They'll be proudly representing Cumberland MS/HS at the VBODA District 3 event. Be sure to mark your calendars for an exciting performance at James River HS on February 1st. It’s a great chance to cheer on these wonderful students!
