Mr. Fleenor and FFA members visited with members of the General Assembly. Mr. Fleenor had this to share, "CHS FFA members had the honor of representing Cumberland County at the Capitol with over 400 Virginia FFA Members, 100 Agricultural Educators, volunteers, and the State Officer Team. They spent the day at the General Assembly and met with legislators. Members experiences in FFA and agriculture while advocating for agriculture and Ag. Education. Representatives from each chapter were announced from the House and Senate Chambers. A special thanks to Senator John McGuire 10th District, Delegate Tom Garrett 56th District, Delegate Reid 28th District, Dan Bianco (del. Reid Chief of Staff), Delegate Fowler 96th District, and Joe Guthrie Commissioner of the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for taking the time to meet with our Cumberland FFA representatives.
