We welcomed Longwood University Partnership students to CCES and raised the Longwood flag (we know Ms. Gills is smiling) alongside some of our Lancer alumni teaching staff! #WeAreCuCPS
Our Grade 8 students from CMS and Grade 10 students from CHS had the exciting opportunity to attend the Career ChoICE Youth Expo, hosted at Hampden-Sydney College. This event encouraged students to IMAGINE their potential, CONNECT with employers, and EXPLORE various career paths.
Career ChoICE introduces students to regional employment opportunities through virtual resources and hands-on activities, sparking their imaginations about the possibilities within our region. It empowers students to make informed career decisions by providing insights into the skills needed, education levels required, and expected salaries.
A heartfelt thank you to all the employers who took the time to attend and engage with students, sharing valuable information and advice about career opportunities. Your participation not only expanded students' awareness of career paths but also demonstrated that exciting futures are possible right here in our region.
This event supports regional economic development by building a talent pipeline aligned with the needs of key industries. With the insights and inspiration gained from Career ChoICE, our students are better equipped to shape their futures and explore meaningful careers close to home.
Last night’s band performance was an unforgettable evening filled with music, food, and community! 🎶 Our students amazed us with their musical creations, showcasing the dedication and passion they’ve developed under the leadership of Mr. Cosley and the support of Ms. Kinney. Their hard work truly shined, and we couldn’t be prouder of their talent!
Adding to the evening, we were treated to a delicious meal prepared by the talented Chef Lee, making the night even more special. 🍽️
