Congratulations to CHS students Calvin Foster and Shelia Robinson for being accepted into 2020-2021 Environmental Justice Academy. The Academy is a leadership development program designed to give participants the skills to successfully identify environmental challenges.

Please make sure you drive by and look at the sunflower masterpiece the FFA students and Mr. Fleenor created for the VA Farm Bureau fall contest. It looks great! #iamcucps

Good Afternoon. This is Chip Jones, Supt. of Cumberland Co. Public Schools. I am happy to inform you that the spread of COVID-19 has declined in Cumberland County. We have been in continuous communication with the Piedmont Health District to determine when to safely open schools for in person learning.
Schools will open on Monday, October 19, 2020, using a hybrid schedule. Students will attend school on alternating weeks. Families will still have the option to continue with 100% remote learning. You will be receiving a letter which was mailed home today with additional information regarding our opening. Also, the letter has been posted on Facebook. Please take note of the dismissal times.
Thank you for your support , understanding, and everything you have been doing during these times. We are excited to begin welcoming our students back into our school buildings!
