Good evening CMS! The CMS book fair is this week! There are new titles and several books for under $5. Stop by to create a wishlist or pick up your next favorite book. It is also a great time to look for those holiday gifts for everyone on your list. November is National Diabetes Awareness Month. Every November 14th, World Diabetes Day is commemorated. The Student Government Association at CMS invites everyone to join us in wearing blue on Tuesday the 14th. This is an opportunity to raise awareness about the impact of diabetes on the health of people and to highlight the opportunities to strengthen the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diabetes. CMS is hosting a Family Engagement Night this Thursday, November 16th from 4:00 to 6:00 pm in the school cafetorium. There will be board games, snacks, and extended Book Fair hours. We hope to see you all there. Families, as a reminder, dismissal can be a hectic time for a school building. That is why we ask that you pick up your child prior to 2:45 if you need to check them out for the day. Requests taken after 2:45 will require families to wait until after buses have been loaded and departed from the complex. This will allow all our students to exit the building and get to their buses and parent rides safely. We thank you for your help in this matter and appreciate all you do for your child and their education. Remember, at CMS, we are respectful, responsible, and purposeful. We look forward to having a great week. Go Dukes!
