Cumberland County Elementary School's 21st Century program, in conjunction with the Cumberland County Public Library are presenting a free program, Saving Money with Coupons and Discounts, Monday evening at 6pm. Free and open to all but registration is required. To register, call the library at 804-492-5807. Limited seats are available at the library but it will also be offered virtually through Zoom. Register now to learn the tips and tricks for always getting the best deal on whatever you are buying. It's the perfect time with holiday shopping upon us.

Picture packets are going home with Week A students tomorrow, Wednesday. Their picture day is November 17, 2020. Picture packets will go home on Monday for Week B students. Their picture day is Tuesday, November 10, 2020. Virtual families should call Mrs. Carden to schedule an appointment for either the 10th or the 17th. Appointments begin at 2:00.

We look forward to having most of our students attending face-to-face instruction beginning Monday, October 19th. CUCPS is using the Pulsing Model which means that some students will attend school Week A and some will attend Week B. The northern end of Cumberland, route 60, and the Bear Creek Side are Week A, and the Southern end of the county toward Farmville is Week B. If you are unsure, ask your child's teacher. Know that there could still be a few changes as Transportation irons out all of the routes. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided at no cost to our families. We will dismiss school at 1:30 pm so teachers can check in with remote learners, prepare videos for remote learning, and more. Families who selected 100% remote should plan to exchange binders at CCES every two weeks. We will provide specific instructions for those families. Our final Distribution Day will be a little different. Details are coming soon. Parent Pick-up will be Drive-through style. We are fine-tuning those details and will share those too. Thank you for your help, patience, and understanding as we prepare for instruction in a way that we have never before planned. We are Growing World Changers at CCES and couldn't do it without our families.
