November 30th--Fall Sports Banquet
December 1st--Cumberland County Christmas Tree Lighting at 6:00 pm on the front lawn of the courthouse
December 2nd--Breakfast with Santa at the CMS/CHS Complex at 8:00 am
December 3rd--Farmville Christmas Parade at 5:30 pm.
December 5th--Winter Concert at the CMS/CHS Complex at 7:00 pm
December 7th--CuCPS School Board Meeting--public input on the 2023-2024 CuCPS Budget
December 10th--Cumberland Christmas Parade at 2:00 pm
December 18th--CCES Winter Performance at 6:30 pm
December 19th--Winter Break begins at Noon!

This morning, CHS awarded 30 Seniors with their academic jackets. It is always great to see students reach this milestone and have their families, CHS team, and their friends present to help celebrate this special moment. #WeAreCuCPS

Good evening families of Cumberland County Public Schools. Schools will be closed Wednesday, November 22 through Friday, November 24, for Thanksgiving Break. We hope you and your family enjoy the holidays.
Santa Breakfast is back this year! Come out to get a picture and eat breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 8am - 11am, hosted by the Cumberland Band Boosters, with help from the CTE department at CHS. There will be crafts, reindeer games, holiday karaoke, cookies by the pound and more! A pre registration form is going home. The cost is $10 per child if you pre register, or $12 per child at the door. Adults are $8. There also will be a wreath-making workshop at the greenhouse during this event, hosted by the FFA. The cost is $35 per wreath. We can’t wait to see you!

Families are encouraged to participate in the Project SpeakUp survey. The Speak Up Research Initiative is the largest collection of authentic stakeholder voices on key educational issues in the digital age. Since 2003, over 6.2 million K-12 stakeholders have participated in the Speak Up surveys sharing their authentic ideas on the use of technology in school and other new learning models.
Project Tomorrow provides schools with a suite of online surveys to better understand the views of their students, families, teachers, and administrators. Participation in Speak Up is 100% free to all schools in the US.
