Dear Cumberland Families,
We want to inform you that we have been made aware of a social media threat that is circulating, which involves causing harm to school divisions. Additionally, a message has been shared that mentions Cumberland specifically. Please know that we have promptly informed law enforcement, and we have requested an increased presence on campus for the remainder of the day.
Messages like this are circulating throughout the Commonwealth and across the country, and we understand that they can cause a range of emotions. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority, and we are taking all necessary precautions.
We appreciate your support and understanding as we navigate through this situation together. I do appreciate everyone still remembering to "if you hear something or see something, say something."
Dr. Jones
