Cumberland County Public Schools will operate on a regular schedule tomorrow, Thursday, October 3rd, 2024. Please be aware that a few roads in the county still have water. A staff member from our Transportation Department will contact you if there is a need to adjust your bus route due to road conditions. If you do not hear from us, your route will remain the same. We appreciate your patience and understanding over the last few days with our schedule changes. Thank you, and I hope you have a good evening.

Good Morning, CuCPS! Below is an update...
After checking road conditions this morning, we have decided that CuCPS will be closed today, Wednesday, October 2, 2024. This closure will allow time for water to begin receding on several secondary roads throughout the county. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school tomorrow. Stay safe!

Subject: CuCPS Operating on Two-Hour Delay – Wednesday, October 2, 2024
Dear CuCPS Families and Staff,
Thank you for your understanding and flexibility today as we made weather-related decisions based on the information available.
CuCPS will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Wednesday, October 2, 2024, to allow daylight for safer travel and to check roads that may experience flooding in certain areas. Please note that this plan may change depending on road conditions in the morning, and we will provide updates as needed.
As a reminder, breakfast will be served on a two-hour delay schedule.
Students that attend classes at SVCC for Governor's School, Welding, & Electricity/HVAC will not travel to Keysville tomorrow. Also, students that travel to CODE RVA in Richmond will not travel as well.
We appreciate your continued patience and understanding as we make decisions with safety as our top priority.

Good morning, Cumberland County Public Schools community,
We want to sincerely apologize for the late notice, but due to the potential for water levels to crest at the Appomattox Bridge, we will need to dismiss students today at 1:30 PM. We understand that this may cause inconvenience and disruption to your plans, and we deeply appreciate your understanding during this time.
Please know that the safety of our students is our top priority, and we are making this decision with their well-being in mind. Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we navigate this situation together. Stay safe!
Good morning students, staff, and families of Cumberland County Public Schools. All after school activities have been canceled for today, Tuesday, October 1st, for the entire school division. This includes 21st century after-school tutoring, athletic practices, and games. Thank you.
Good Morning! Due to the recent rainfall and concerns about water levels on secondary roads, all after-school activities for today, including after-school programs and athletics, are canceled.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
