Thank you to our amazing coaches, families, and everyone who supported us throughout this football season! Cumberland JV Football wrapped up with an impressive 7-1 record, with their only loss to a strong, undefeated Central of Lunenburg team. With the continued dedication of our coaches, the commitment of our families, and the support of our community, we’re excited to keep rebuilding and strengthening our football program. Go Dukes! Under the direction of student director Autumn and stage manager Brianna , the CHS Theatre Troupe performed their fall one-act play, North Ridge, at George Washington High School in Danville on Saturday. The troupe earned an impressive 3rd place, just one point shy of advancing further.
The students were recognized for their excellent staging, characterization, and ensemble performance. Special shout-outs to Addy, who was named a top actor of the festival, and Alana , who received an honorable mention!
CHS was also the only team praised for creating the “illusion of the first time,” showing their talent in bringing authentic, living characters to life on stage.
We’re incredibly proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing what the future holds for these talented students. A special thank you to our senior members—Autumn , Brianna , Addy , Emily Eroh, and Cameron—for their dedication and leadership! We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the Haigh's for their invaluable coaching and support. 🎭✨
