A Vaccination Clinic for 16 to 18-year-olds will be held on May 20, 2021, from 2:15 p.m. through 4:15 p.m. by appointment at the Cumberland Middle School gymnasium. This clinic is sponsored by Cumberland Pharmacy. The vaccine is Pfizer. See the fact sheet and screening forms below.

Charlottesville, Virginia (5/10/2021) – QuickStart Tennis of Central Virginia, Inc. (QCV) is pleased to report that the 80 kindergartners at Cumberland Elementary School in Cumberland County have started receiving Racquets for Reading!!! books to keep, thanks to the generosity of Matthew Meares, Principal of Cumberland Timber, LLC. The kindergarten team at Cumberland was able to “stretch” the funds they received and bought nine books for their students.
Kindergarten teachers and team leader Stephanie Hammond say, “We want to thank you and let you know how much we appreciate your generosity. We were able to purchase nine books. We chose a mixture of fiction and non-fiction books. The books selected include rhyming, vowel patterns, learning about life cycles, familiar fairy tales, teamwork, friendships and fun. We know these stories will not only provide great memories, but also build good readers. Our students have received the first two books, Ducklings and On the First Day of Summer Vacation and the mini rubber duckies. The remainder of the books and giveaways will be distributed when they return to school in August.”

Good evening, here are some middle school baseball/softball updates.
Wednesday's Middle School Baseball Game is now a HOME game. The game will be played at the Madison Fields on Route 13 and Wednesday's Middle School Softball game will be played at the Cumberland High School Field. Both games will begin at 4:30pm and tickets can be purchased at ticketspicket.com
On Thursday, CMS Baseball and Softball will make up the rained out games against Powhatan. Baseball will be home (Madison Fields) and Softball will be away. Both games will begin at 4:30 pm tickets for the baseball game can also be purchased at ticketspicket.com and tickets for Softball can be purchased at Powhatan Middle School for $5. Please note that due to COVID-19 Powhatan has limited seating at their field and have recommended that all spectators bring their own chairs/seating.
