Yesterday, our CMS choir had the opportunity to perform the National Anthem and our CMS basketball teams had the opportunity to play an exhibition game at the Longwood vs. Winthrop basketball. Also, Mr. Fleenor was recognized as the Piedmont Soil and Water Conservation District Educator of the Year. It was a great day for both the Dukes and the Lancers! Longwood came away with the win. At Saturday's (January 29, 2022) Longwood Men's Basketball game, Cumberland County will be recognized and a portion of ticket sales will go to Cumberland County Public Schools. The choir will be singing the national anthem, the middle school basketball program will be scrimmaging at halftime, and we will have a CUCPS employment opportunities table set up.

Cumberland County Public Schools (CuCPS) is following a universal mask mandate as required by Senate Bill 1303. However, on January 15, 2022, Governor Youngkin issued an executive order mandating that parents/guardians be allowed to opt their children out of the mask mandate, beginning January 24, 2022. Please complete the following form if you wish to opt-out your children.
