Students in Ms. Yancey's class participated in public speaking activities today in partnership with 4-H and Ms. Eanes. Ms. Yancey is "so proud on their spectacular job on their speeches in our contest. They put in the hard work, some of them have been invited to compete at the district level in 4-H. Congratulations! The Cumberland High School FFA is hosting its annual wreath workshop at the school greenhouse this Saturday, December 17, from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. 8th Grade Science and Civics SOLs on Tuesday, December 13th.
The CMS Girls and Boys Basketball Teams host Prince Edwards on Wednesday, December 14th. The games start at 5:30pm and are in the high school gym.
We have a winter spirit week this week:
Monday - Wear your holiday PJs
Tuesday - Wear your holiday socks and holiday headgear
Wednesday - Wear your holiday colors
Thursday - Falalalannel Day - wear flannel or plaid
Friday - Tacky sweater day - wear your most festive holiday sweater or shirt
There will be no after-school tutoring this week.
Friendly reminder, Friday December 16th is the last day before winter break and is a noon dismissal day. The second semester begins Tuesday, January 3rd.
