2020-2021 School Year Update:
High School Athletics will begin preseason conditioning and workouts on November 2, 2020. In order to participate in any conditioning or workout, student athletes must have the following: (1) VHSL Physical Form completed after May 1, 2020 and turned in to the Athletic Director (Coach Nowak); and (2) CuCPS Concussion Form signed by BOTH the parent/guardians and the student athlete. Both forms can be found by going to the Forms/Documents/Websites tab above or on the CuCPS.k12.va.us website under the Documents tab in the athletics folder.
At this time Middle School Athletics have not finalized a date to begin preseason conditioning and workouts. Once this is finalized, we will make the announcement. We strongly recommend that any student who wishes to participate in middle school sports this year get their VHSL Physical Form and CuCPS Concussion form completed and turned in to the Athletic Director (Coach Nowak) as soon as possible.
Coach Nowak will be meeting with each class during their lunch times over the next two weeks to talk to students and answer any questions that they may have. You may also reach out to Coach Nowak via email (jnowak@cucps.k12.va.us) or via phone (804)-492-4212 ex. 4123
The phones and Internet service for Cumberland County Public Schools will be down today beginning at 1:30 pm while necessary updates are completed.
