Good afternoon, based on current road conditions and the predicted overnight temperatures Cumberland County Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, February 9. Thank you for your understanding as we continue to monitor our road conditions. Stay warm and stay safe.
Due to the current road conditions, we cannot jeopardize the safety of our students and transportation staff. We will not be sending buses out. We are asking parents and guardians to please pick up their child as soon as it is safely possible. Staff will be on hand to monitor students and we will feed students. Please reach out to schools with any questions.

Good afternoon families. Due to the snow fall that has begun and is predicted to last until approximately 5 PM, the CuCPS transportation department is working on lining up transportation and as soon as buses are in place, we will dismiss school.

Cumberland County Public Schools will be on a 2-hour delay on Wednesday, February 4, pending any potential overnight weather conditions. If bus routes need to be adjusted due to road conditions, families will be contacted this evening by the school division personnel. These adjustments are necessary as some secondary roads remain unsafe for school bus travel. Thank you for your patience and continued partnership as we work to safely resume normal operations.
Due to continued concerns about safely transporting students because of poor conditions on secondary roads, Cumberland Schools will remain closed tomorrow, February 3, 2026.
All staff should report at 10:00 AM. Staff who are unable to make it in, please work with your building level administration.
Hot soup will be available for CuCPS students from 11-1.

Cumberland County Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, February 2, due to the continued icy conditions on several of our secondary roads. There will be no remote learning. The cafeteria at the complex will be open for meal pick up for families from 11:00 to 1:00. Twelve month employees will report at 10:00.
CuCPS staff and volunteers worked hard this week to get our school cleared from ice and snow. They worked in cold temperatures and came together as a team. Thank you!
Families, please find attached information regarding makeup days for inclement weather. This will go into effect if we miss any more days after January 30.
Good Evening CuCPS Families-- Cumberland County Public Schools will be closed for the remainder of this week, January 29 and 30, 2026. Virtual learning will continue for the next two days. Food pick up will occur again tomorrow and Friday for CuCPS students, from 11 am - 1pm, at the middle school. Families who may need water are encouraged to come between these times. We will continue to monitor road conditions and will make a decision regarding Friday no later than noon on Thursday.

The middle school entrance will be open tomorrow from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. for families who would like to pick up meals for their school-age children.

Any community member without access to water is welcome to bring water jugs or containers to the school to fill during those same hours.
