The Cumberland Speech Team performed at Galileo Magnet High School in Danville on Saturday and earned a 3rd place finish overall. Several of our Dukes have qualified to attend the State Tournament in Salem on March 28th. Please extend congratulations to the students when you see them.

Special shout-out to our staff who came to judge and assist: Ms. Taylor, Mrs. Brooks, Mrs. Haigh, and Mr. Meinhard. I also want to thank alumni (and former state competitors and champions) Addy Carney, Emily Eroh, and Autumn Seaver for taking time out of their weekend to return as Dukes and judge. A huge shout-out to Mr. Haigh!
The team gave an excellent performance, and I can't wait to see how they do at the state competition at the end of the month.
