The safety and well-being of our students, staff, families, and visitors is our highest priority at Cumberland County Public Schools. To maintain safety and security, the following protocols will be implemented immediately at all athletic and public events.
At security screening points, all individuals and belongings may be subject to search upon entry. Refusal to permit such a search may result in the denial of access.
Bag Policy
No bags are permitted unless they are clear plastic tote bags.
Non-transparent clutch wallets measuring no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” are allowed.
Bags necessary for approved medical equipment are permitted.
Approved family care items (such as diapers and formula) must be carried in a clear plastic tote bag.
Prohibited Items
Explosives, firearms, or weapons
Alcohol, illicit drugs, or controlled substances
Tobacco products in any form, including vapes, are prohibited on school grounds.
Bags, backpacks, and fanny packs (limited to clear bags or clutch wallets only).
Laser pointers
Pets, excluding registered service animals
Spectator Guidelines
Loitering will not be permitted.
No re-entry is permitted once a spectator has exited the facility.
Elementary and middle school students must always be accompanied by a responsible adult to ensure their safety and well-being.
Unruly behavior and profanity will not be tolerated.
While implementing immediate safety measures at our events, please be assured that we are thoroughly reviewing all safety protocols across the district. We will continue this review throughout the year and will inform you of any additional updates as needed. Our primary goal is to ensure you feel secure and confident while enjoying our events, knowing that we are committed to providing a safe environment for our students and the community.
