AKA Masks

The Kappa Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., donated  masks to Cumberland County Public Schools.  They are distributing a total of 2,200 masks to Farmville and surrounding counties, focusing on county school divisions.  Dr. Chip Jones, Superintendent of CuCPS, noted that the masks were greatly appreciated, and will be used to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, which was founded in 1908 at Howard University, is dedicated to fostering servant leadership. The organization focuses on two main areas: "the lifelong personal and professional development of each of its members; and galvanizing its membership into an organization of respected power and influence, consistently at the forefront of effective advocacy and social change that results in equality and equity for all citizens of the world."
