Each spring the Longwood Center for the Visual Arts (LCVA) sponsors the Annual Area Youth Art Exhibition. The exhibition features work from numerous students from surrounding counties, including public, private, and home schools. Counties involved included Amelia, Buckingham, Charlotte, Cumberland, Lunenburg, Nottoway, and Prince Edward. Community members are invited to celebrate the creativity of the young artists by attending the Opening Reception on June 7, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. The Cumberland students participating in the art exhibition were recognized at the April 9, 2026, meeting of the School Board. The students participating include the following:
