Each month during the regularly scheduled meeting, the Cumberland School Board recognizes the Students of the Month for each school. Students recognized at the meeting held on April 9, 2026, include the following:
• Caileigh Winbush, fourth grader at Cumberland Elementary School, daughter of Bryant Winbush and Ashton Showalter, of Farmville.
• Aiden Derome, fifth grader at Cumberland Middle School, son of Kimberly Derome, of Cumberland.
• Aiden Ruehrmund, twelfth grader at Cumberland High School, son of Shawn and Shauna Bradley, of Cartersville.
