Each month during the regularly scheduled meeting, the Cumberland School Board recognizes the Students of the Month for each school. Students recognized at the meeting held on February 16, 2065, include the following:
· Ariah Scott, Pre-kindergartener at Cumberland Elementary School, daughter of Alvin and Ka-Dedtra Scott of Cumberland.
· Noah Sysko, seventh grader at Cumberland Middle School, son of Ben and Courtney Sysko, of Farmville.
· Barry Jones, ninth grader at Cumberland High School, son of Nikia and Barry Jones, of Powhatan.
