Each month during the regularly scheduled meeting, the Cumberland School Board recognizes the Students of the Month for each school. Students recognized at the meetings held on October and November 2025 include the following:
October:
• Stetson Doss, third grader at Cumberland Elementary School, son of Brittany Morgan and Tim Doss, of Farmville.
• Hailey Green, seventh grader at Cumberland Middle School, daughter Mary and Logan Green, of Cumberland.
• Taniyah Trent, eleventh grader at Cumberland High School, son of Amber Jones and Devon Trent, of Cumberland.
November:
• Kendrell Johnson, second grader at Cumberland Elementary School, son of Kendrell Johnson, Sr. and Rebecca Randolph, of Columbia.
• Tamira Higginbotham, seventh grader at Cumberland Middle School, daughter of Tiffany Blanton and Tremaine Higginbotham, of Farmville.
• Destiny Griffin, eleventh grader at Cumberland High School, daughter of Cynthia and Marquis Jones, of Columbia.
