FBLA Team

Three Cumberland High School students were recognized at the September 4, 2025, meeting of the Cumberland County School Board for attending the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California. The students--Bri-era Franklin-Harris, Shonna Robinson, and Naisha Scott—were accompanied by the FBLA advisor, Ms. BreAnne Woodson, who was also recognized by the School Board. The students represented Cumberland High School and the school division by competing in the Social Media Strategies competitive event, competing against over 100 teams from across the country.

Ms. Woodson noted that while the students did not place in the top ten, the experience they had was invaluable. They engaged in powerful networking opportunities with other student leaders from across the nation and participated in leadership development workshops and informational sessions designed to prepare them for success in business, college, and life.

Beyond the conference sessions, students explored local attractions such as Disneyland and Huntington Beach, and they also enjoyed a formal dinner at Morton’s Steakhouse, where they proudly demonstrated the professional etiquette and soft skills they have gained through years of FBLA leadership training.

Ms. Woodson stated, “This experience not only broadened their horizons but also reinforced the mission of FBLA—preparing students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society.”
