The Cumberland Dukes speech team traveled to Matthews High School to compete in forensics competition. The Dukes competed against six teams throughout the A and B Regions and earned the 2025 Speech Super Regional First Place trophy. The Dukes earned six first place finishes, one third place finish, and one fourth place finish. Of the competitors who attended, the Dukes were the only team to have every student state qualify in their competition. Winners included the following:
