Cumberland High School is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Elif Kalemdaroglu-Wheeler as the new Assistant Principal. Dr. Kalemdaroglu-Wheeler, who has been an integral part of the Cumberland High School community as a special education teacher, brings with her a wealth of experience in education, leadership, and curriculum development.

With a career spanning several key roles in the field of education, Dr. Kalemdaroglu-Wheeler has served as a teacher, principal coach, director of virtual curriculum and instructional innovation, athletic director, behavior intervention coordinator, and science department chair. She holds a doctorate in education with a specialization in curriculum and instruction, demonstrating her deep commitment to enhancing teaching and learning outcomes.

Principal Ms. Shores expressed her excitement about the new appointment: “We are thrilled to have Dr. Kalemdaroglu-Wheeler step into the role of Assistant Principal. Her extensive background in education and her leadership experience make her a perfect fit for our school.
