Each month during the regularly scheduled meeting, the Cumberland School Board recognizes the Students of the Month for each school. The following students were recognized by School Board members at the meeting held on May 2, 2024:
• Aleesa Johnson, first grader at Cumberland Elementary School, daughter of Jalessa and Stephon Johnson of Farmville.
• Daylin Watson, fifth grader at Cumberland Middle School, son of David and Shaletha Watson of Rice.
• Juan Lopez, twelfth grader at Cumberland High School, son of Felipe and Maria Lopez of Cumberland.
