Each month during the regularly scheduled meeting, the Cumberland School Board recognizes the Students of the Month for each school. The following students were recognized by School Board members at the meeting held on March 7, 2024:
· Caileigh Winbush, second grader at Cumberland Elementary School, daughter of Ashton Showalter and Bryant Winbush of Farmville.
· Landon Bonds, seventh grader at Cumberland Middle School, son of Allen and Amanda Bonds of Cumberland.
· Mia Sparks, twelfth grader at Cumberland High School, granddaughter of Lisa and Kyle Corbin of Cumberland.
The regularly scheduled April meeting of the School Board was moved to March 28, 2024, to avoid conflict with Spring Break. The following students were recognized by the Board at this meeting:
· Emily Stanley, third grader at Cumberland Elementary School, daughter of Rachel and Roger Stanley of Farmville.
· Venice Boatwright, eighth grader at Cumberland Middle School, daughter of Eddie Langhorne and Denice Boatwright of Cumberland.
· Hailey Crump, eleventh grader at Cumberland High School, daughter Taryll Johnson of Cartersville.
