Members of the Cumberland County Public Schools Wrestling Team were recognized by the School Board at the meeting held on March 7, 2024. The team, coached by Mr. Ryan Bates, was composed of Archie Angle, Caper Angle, Michael Fields, Gavin Gonzales, Dion Pittman, Kimball Pittman, Erick Smith, Abigail Winslow, and Kody Wolfe. Several team members received special recognitions, including the following:
Region 1B State Wrestling Finishers: Dion Pittman (4th place at State Competition) and Kimball Pittman (6th Place at State Competition)
Region 1B Wrestler of the Year: Dion Pittman
Region 1B Champions: Michael Fields and Kimball Pittman
JRD Champions: Caper Angle, Dion Pittman, and Erick Smith
JRD Runner-ups: Michael Fields and Kimball Pittman
