Call Me Mister Recognition

Three students of Cumberland High School were recognized at the October 9, 2019, meeting of the Cumberland School Board for their participation in the Call Me MISTER program held at Longwood College. The six-day program was led by Dr. Maurice Carter. The participants included Landon Brown (current 11th grader), Isaiah Carter (CHS graduate), and Da-Ron Harvey (former student and current CES substitute teacher).

The Call Me MISTER program is a national teacher leadership program that not only prepares young men for successful careers as elementary or secondary teachers, but also provides them with resources that will place them in a position to effectively impact the lives of children.
