Each month during the regularly scheduled meeting, the Cumberland School Board recognizes the Students of the Month for each school. The following students were recognized by School Board members at the meeting held on May 4, 2023:
- Sofia Paras, fourth grader at Cumberland Elementary School, daughter of Howard and Tiffany Paras of Cumberland.
- Elizabeth Brooke DeVore, eighth grader at Cumberland Middle School, daughter of James and Beverly DeVore of Cumberland.
- Baileigh Meinhard, twelfth grader and Valedictorian at Cumberland High School, daughter of Todd Meinhard of Cumberland and Megan Hathaway of Cartersville.
- Cheyenne Crenshaw, twelfth grader and Salutatorian at Cumberland High School, daughter of Andy and Norma Crenshaw of Powhatan.
