Cumberland County Public Schools

Ms. Leigh McCrea was appointed to the Cumberland School Board to fill the vacancy in the 4^th District left by the resignation of Mrs. Wendy Tillett. Ms. McCrea currently serves as the Probation Officer for the Department of Juvenile Justice for the 10 District Court. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Virginia Commonwealth University and she has been a Cumberland resident since 2006. In 2014, Ms. McCrea began Friends of the Cumberland County Animal Control, a nonprofit organization that supports the local Animal Control office as well as assisting pets in need of care. McCrea noted, “Both my professional and volunteer work have allowed me the unique opportunity to see where our youth and families struggle and where they thrive.”
