CuCPS Family Update:  April 9, 2020

Our next food distribution/delivery is tomorrow, Friday, April 10th. With spring break being next week, food packages will consist of breakfasts and lunches for six days. If you would like to be added for delivery, please contact Sandra Raymond at 492-4212, between 1:00-2:00 p.m. today. Beginning Monday, April 20th, food distribution/delivery will be done every Monday with enough meals for an entire week.

Other items of interest include:

  • Check out our CuCPS Facebook page for story time, morning meetings, music lessons, and art lessons provided by our CuCPS teachers.

  • Information regarding learning packets and modules can be found on our division and school websites.

  • For the month of May, we are looking for students to read during CuCPS Story Time. If your child is interested in being a guest reader, video your child reading a children’s book and email it to me at agriffin@cucps.k12.va.us. He/She will be featured in May.

  • Current 4th graders can virtually participate in 5th Grade Orientation on April 22nd. Be on the lookout for more information coming soon.

  • I plan to hold two Virtual Chats with the Superintendent on April 23rd, one at 10:00 a.m. and one at 6:00 p.m.  Look for more information to come after spring break.

This is Virtual Spirit Week, join all of us in showing your Duke Pride by wearing blue and gold tomorrow.  Tweet you pictures with the hashtag #iamcucps and/or email them to me.

Do your best to enjoy spring break next week and remember that our CuCPS physical and virtual offices and classrooms are closed from April 13-17, 2020. I hope everyone is staying safe, healthy, and at home. As the days and weeks pass, we miss you more and more. We look forward to the day that we can all be together again.  Most of all we want you to know that we love you.
