At the meeting of the Cumberland School Board held on March 5, 2020, members of the Board recognized the winners of the Cumberland Spelling Bee. Winners in the Spelling Bee included the following:
- 1st Grade: Kinsley Crump and Greyson Peterson (Runner-up)
- 2nd Grade: Addison Bowman and Nicolas Montanez (Runner-up)
- 3rd Grade: Alexa Blackwell and Alana Jackson-Lewis (Runner-up)
- 4th Grade: Karlee Capps and Makayla Eppes (Runner-up)
- 5th Grade: Kamira Holman (District Runner-up) and Allahjah Harris (Runner-up)
- 6th Grade: Caleb Lipscomb (Division Winner) and Kamrien Brown (Runner-up)
- 7th Grade: Brianna Barker and Steven Mullins (Runner-up)
- 8th Grade: Madison Dayton and Omarion Ayers (Runner-up)
