Mr. Andrew Hoyt, current Assistant Principal at Cumberland Middle School, was recognized at the November 8, 2019, meeting of the Cumberland School Board for being selected to participate in the University of Virginia/Curry School of Education SCOPE 15. With the philosophy of “Leading People, Leading Learning,” SCOPE 15 is a two-year leadership development program for high potential school administrators. SCOPE stands for Statewide Community of Practice for Excellence, and the program is designed to promote leadership through the establishment of a community of educational leaders and practitioners across the state.
