Standards of Learning Assessment. These tutorials provide direct exposure to the format and structure of the questions, and enable users to receive direct feedback for each item. Users can also download and print resource information for tips, techniques, and strategies related reading and writing.
These files are a form of the tests that students across the Commonwealth of Virginia took as part of the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) Assessments. The test questions are representative of the content and skills included in the Virginia SOL tests and are provided to help you understand the format of the tests and questions. This is a training tool designed to help Virginia’s teachers prepare students for the English Standards of Learning Direct Writing Assessment. Developed by the Virginia Department of Education and Pearson Educational Measurement, this program provides practice-scoring opportunities with sets of papers written by Virginia students.
