At the May School Board meeting, members of the Cumberland School Board recognized Lorraine Foster, the Student Liaison to the School Board, for her service during the 2016-2017 school year.
Lorraine Foster will be graduating from Cumberland High School on May 10, 2017, with her advanced studies diploma. She is the daughter of Curtis Foster and Kim Thurston-Foster of Cumberland. Lorraine will be attending Norfolk State University in the fall and plans to major in Nursing.
At the close of her final meeting, she thanked the School Board members for allowing her the opportunity to be part of the School Board. She also noted that she had learned a lot from the experience.
